Sue Hoskin was engaged by Victor Harbor Luthern Homes to engage a ‘Community Art Mosaic.’
Mosaic artist Sue Hoskin set out a multi-stage process:
Stage 1 – Create shaped tiles from clay, that need to be painted/glazed
Stage 2 – breaking of tiles to make larger sections of the image
Stage 3 – placement of all elements onto small individual (approx. 20 x20) sized boards that will
ultimately join together to make the larger complete image.
Sue worked with both the older generations from the Victor Harbor Lutheran Village as well as the
year 4 students from the Encounter Lutheran School.
We found Sue to be an engaging and interactive teacher who made the whole experience productive
and fun.
Sue Interacted with the ladies and explained the process of making the tiles simply, clearly and
